Deacon Blue 80s

Deacon Blue – Real Gone Kid

Deacon Blue’s lead single from their anthemic second album was their biggest hit so far.

It climbed slowly to a peak of UK#8 in November, and was in the chart for the last time on this day in the 80s, at #56. It was their first of 3 top ten hits they had from ’88-’91.

Now I’ve stood on your shadow and I’ve watched it grow
