Lisa had her biggest hit starting on this day in the 80s, when it was the highest new entry on the chart.
It was at #13 and would spend 2 weeks at #1 in November. This was her last hit of the 80s though, so we won’t get to hear her other #1 – The Five Live EP, with George Michael And Queen, which reached the top spot in ’93.
This was a big hit in the US as well, where it reached US#3, her only top 10 hit there.
This is her third appearance on the blog, which have all been this year, so she joins the long list of acts in joint sixth place for appearances this year.
